• Melanie. You are a beautiful lady, inside and out and I know I have been blessed by your presence in my life.
    Love you,

    • You’re the best birthday gift, Joyce! I’m so happy you stopped by today.

And my life has been graced and enriched (tenfold!) by your friendship. 🙂

      Much love,

  • Melanie,

Hearing from you is always the highlight of my day! Happy Birthday to you! Now I feel bad for all the information overload I’ve been giving you today 🙂

    • Thanks for the birthday wishes, Gwen, and don’t feel bad at all. We’re going to ROCK this thing!

I’m just sorry I had such a full day with offline commitments today that I haven’t really had a chance to wallow in the joy of everything we’re creating together!

YOU are the reason my birthday was extra extra special today. Thank You.

  • You say it is your birthday…Happy Birthday to you.

Wow what a full life! And a very interesting area you work in. The new moms and babies are fortunate to have you. ( Not to mention Kona and Maxwell.)

Hope you have a great day!

    • Sheila ~ you’re a sweetie and thanks for mentioning my two business partners. 🙂

I’ve been in the field of obstetrics for many years and it’s one of those professions that puts a perpetual smile on your face!

Had a very full and fulfilling day,

  • Hi Melanie,

Your post probably wasn’t intended to make me laugh but when you said that you help new breastfeeding moms, that’s what I did. Wait! You see, it reminded me of the time (many, many moons ago) when I was breastfeeding. When someone finally came by to help me I was in tears and scared to pieces (totally engorged and in pain). I can just see you there with your new moms… the loving, wonderful, patient person that you are… I’m sure they just love you.

I can see how the employees at your second job adore you and are so glad you’re there. You do brighten everyone’s days.

Happy Birthday, lovely lady. May all your dreams come true!

    • I’ve wiped away a lot of tears throughout the past 25+ years, Deb — that’s for sure!

Most pregnant women have this concept in their minds that breastfeeding should be “natural” and that the baby is going to instantly take to it like a fish to water. NOT ALWAYS THE CASE, is it? 🙂

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I’ll be on my way out the door soon to teach my Lamaze class – the perfect way to “wrap” up my birthday.

      Much love,

  • Great post, what a wonderful life you are living! I am sure that everyone you touch truly appreciates it. Happy Birthday! You are truly blessed.

    • Thanks so much, Yvonne – wonderful to see you here today!

Birthdays can be fun and you can receive lots of very special “gifts”, even if you’re working all day. 🙂
